Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what the total cost to the public purse was of locating Army units from Imphal Barracks in York to Catterick Barracks in 2014; and what proportion of that cost was spent on upgrading accommodation in Catterick.

Answer

The costs of relocating military units from Imphal Barracks, York to Catterick form part of the routine military rotations and cannot be apportioned to individual moves. The accommodation at Catterick was not upgraded as a result of this move.
