Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many litigation cases around age assessments of unaccompanied migrant children there were in (a) 2011-12 and (b) 2012-13; and what the cost of such cases was to (i) local authorities and (ii) her Department.

Answer

A complete set of data for all litigation cases concerning age assessments of unaccompanied migrant children is not held centrally and the information requested can only be obtained at disproportionate cost.
