Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what discussions she has had with representatives of the insurance industry on creating a flood insurance scheme for businesses.

Answer

I recently met with the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA), to discuss its insurance product, which launched this week. The BIBA scheme is expected to provide flood insurance for many small businesses that have struggled to access it to date.
