PARLIAMENTARY WRITTEN QUESTION
Home Office: Billing (29 November 2016)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what proportion of payments by her Department to small businesses are made on time and in accordance with the prompt payment code.

Asked by:
Tim Farron (Liberal Democrat)

Answer

Although the Home Office publishes aggregated performance data in the annual report and accounts, it is not possible to extract a figure that shows only the prompt payments to small businesses. Home Office officials cannot identify which suppliers are classed as a small business.
