To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, how many officials of his Department have opted out of the EU Working Time Directive.

Answer
We are not aware of any staff opting out of the EU Working Time Directive.
Individuals can opt out of the EU Working Time Directive by putting a request in writing to the Department's HR Service Centre. Responses are placed on the individual's file and we do not hold a separate central record.
