Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what estimate he has made of the number of people referred to the Work Programme who fail to participate in mandated activity.

The available information for Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) claimants who have been sanctioned for failure to participate in the WP is given in Table 1.8 here:

The available information for Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) claimants who have been sanctioned failure to participate in a work related activity, which will include the WP, in given in Table 2.6 of the same spreadsheet.
