The number of social housing for rent supplied in England, since 1991-92, are published in Table 1006 of the Affordable Housing Supply 2014-15 statistical release, available at this link:

The department does not produce projections for future affordable housing supply. Local affordable housing needs should be assessed as part of the local plan making process.
Government has committed £8 billion to deliver a range of affordable housing tenures including homes to rent; homes for shared ownership, rent to buy and discounted Starter Homes to buy outright.
