Department for Energy and Climate Change: Civil Servants (3 June 2016)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, what proportion of civil servants in her Department are (a) female and (b) from an ethnic minority.

Answer

As at 30 April 2016 (a) 50% of permanent Core DECC staff were female and (b) 13% were from an ethnic minority.

The percentage of staff in (b) is of those who have declared their ethnicity.
