To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many entrants there were for GCSE and A-level (a) Gujarati and (b) Hindi by (i) exam board and (ii) each region and constituent part of the UK in each of the last five years.

The Department for Education produces statistics for England only.

The table attached provides information on the number of GCSE entries in Gujarati of pupils by examining board and region between 2010/11 to 2014/15.[1], [2]

The table below shows the number of entries in this region and across England as a whole[3].

Hindi is not currently offered at GCSEs and A Levels. Therefore no information is available on GCSE or A level Hindi qualification over the last five years.
