To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, what steps she is taking to promote the use of credit unions in the work of her Department; and if she will make a statement.

Answer

I refer the hon Member to the answer given by my hon Friend, the Economic Secretary to the Treasury (Harriett Baldwin) on 2 November 2015.

Credit unions are a devolved matter in Northern Ireland and responsibility for them rests with the Northern Ireland Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment.
