Heathrow Airport (9 October 2015)

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the Answer of 18 September 2015 to Question 10131, what preliminary work his Department is undertaking to assess the public funding requirement of, and potential state aid issues related to, a new runway at Heathrow Airport before making any decision on next steps.

The Government continues to consider the large amount of very detailed analysis contained in the Airports Commission’s final report, including its examination of the costs and financing of the schemes, before taking any decisions on next steps.
