Question Asked

To ask the Prime Minister, what assessment the National Security Council has made of the potential risks of using Chinese-built or owned energy infrastructure.

Answer

A wide range of national security issues, including energy security, are considered by the National Security Council and the NSC (Threats, Hazards, Resilience and Contingencies) sub-Committee. Senior officials support and inform these Ministerial-level discussions.
