Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether the four-tracking of the Midland Main Line from Bedford to Kettering and Corby is contingent upon the recommendations of the Hendy Review.

Answer

Kettering to Corby which is part 4 and part 2 tracking is currently in full implementation. Bedford to Kettering, in common with all rail projects, is subject to the recommendations of the Hendy Review which is due to report to the Secretary of State for Transport in the autumn.
