Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many people have been successfully prosecuted for using a mobile phone while driving in each of the last 12 months; and if he will make a statement.

Answer

The number of defendants proceeded against at magistrates’ courts and found guilty at all courts of the offence of using a mobile phone while driving in England and Wales, by month, in 2014 can be viewed in the table.

Court proceedings data for 2015 are planned for publication in May 2016
