PARLIAMENTARY WRITTEN QUESTION
Ordnance Survey (21 July 2015)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, whether officials in his Department have worked to assess the feasibility of a sale of his Department's stake in Ordnance Survey Ltd.

Asked by:
Clive Lewis (Labour)

Answer

The Government is committed to ensuring the effective and efficient management of publicly owned assets and keeps ownership of all assets under review. Where there is no longer a strong policy reason for continued public ownership or where there is potential for an asset to operate more sensibly and efficiently in the private sector, the Government will continue to look into the potential sale of public sector assets.
