Accident and Emergency Departments: Weather (14 July 2015)

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what additional funding has been allocated to clinical commissioning groups to tackle pressures in A&E departments in winter 2015-16; and on what date that funding was announced.

For 2015/16, around £380 million has been allocated to all clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) to support resilience initiatives, including tackling pressures on accident and emergency departments and is included in CCG baselines. The 2015/16 arrangements were announced in December 2014.
