Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what progress his Department has made on assessing the case for electrifying the rail line from Bristol to Derby.

Answer

Network Rail is currently assessing the case for further electrification of the rail network, including the line between Bristol and Derby. It plans to publish a draft update to the industry electrification strategy in due course.
