Railways: Season Tickets (24 June 2015)

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the Answer of 10 June 2015 to Question 1318, when he expects that work with the rail industry to develop options for introducing part-time season tickets will be completed.

We are working with the rail industry to introduce part-time season tickets during the course of this Parliament. This will enable operators to introduce their own products as soon as possible following the roll out of smart ticketing in 2016 and 2017. This will also enable us to consider their inclusion in future franchises.
