PARLIAMENTARY WRITTEN QUESTION
Cancer Drugs Fund (18 June 2015)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what recent representations he has received on the future of the Cancer Drugs Fund; and if he will make a statement.

Asked by:
Mark Tami (Labour)

Answer

Since it was established, the Cancer Drugs Fund has helped over 72,000 people in England to receive the life-extending cancer drugs that would not otherwise have been routinely available to them.

The Department continues to receive representations from a wide range of interested parties including hon. Members, noble Lords, patient representative groups and charities, the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare professionals.

This Government has committed to continuing to invest in the Fund.
