Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, pursuant to the Answer of 3 June 2015 to Question 368, whether the Government plans to seek the consent of the (a) Scottish Parliament, (b) Welsh Assembly and (c) Northern Ireland Assembly before bringing forward legislative proposals to repeal the Human Rights Act 1998.

Answer

We will consider the implications of a Bill of Rights on devolution as we develop our proposals. We will, of course, fully engage with the devolved administrations.
