Transport for London: Finance (8 June 2015)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether his Department plans to provide additional financial support to Transport for London for the purposes of meeting the cost of increasing rail fares by RPI in 2016.

Asked by:
Lilian Greenwood (Labour)

Answer

We recognise that our commitment to cap regulated rail fares at RPI+0% for the term of this Parliament is likely to have an impact on Transport for London’s revenues. The Department will continue to discuss the implications of this with Transport for London.
