To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, pursuant to the Answer of 3 June 2015 to Question 368, what discussions he has had with his counterpart in the Republic of Ireland on the Government's plans to repeal the Human Rights Act 1998 and its implications for the existing devolution settlement in Northern Ireland.

Answer

We will consider the implications of a Bill of Rights on devolution as we develop our proposals. We have made it clear that we will, of course, fully engage with the devolved administrations. In addition, we will be engaging with relevant European partners.
