To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, what progress has been made in relation to the construction of Hinckley C nuclear power station; and if she will make a statement.

Answer
The Government and EDF are continuing to work together to finalise the contract for the Hinkley project. EDF expects that Hinkley Point C will come online around 2023.
