To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how much has been spent on the prescription of drugs to manage Parkinson's disease in each of the last five years.

Information on the cost of medicines to treat Parkinson’s disease for the last five financial years is shown in the following table. The table reflects community dispensing only, where the drugs are mainly dispensed.

Net ingredient cost (NIC) of medicines dispensed in England to treat Parkinson’s disease, as defined by British National Formulary sections 4.9.1 Dopaminergic drugs used in parkinsonism, and 4.9.2 antimuscarinic drugs used in parkinsonism.
