Social Services: Veterans (19 March 2015)

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what progress his Department has made in working with the Royal British Legion to assess how the disregard for payments under the War Pensions Scheme may be applied under the adult social care charging rules in future; and when he plans for that work to be concluded.

We are grateful to the Royal British Legion for taking the time to continue to work with Departmental officials to assess this issue. We are committed to continuing those conversations with a view to considering the issue as part of the upcoming Spending Review that will take place post-election.
