PARLIAMENTARY WRITTEN QUESTION

To ask the Attorney General, pursuant to the answer of 8 September 2026 to Question 20417 on Retrospective Legislation, whether the Law Officers have a policy on retrospective legislation which has retrospective effect on a date before the announcement by HM Government that it intends to legislate retrospectively; and what non-privileged guidance has been given on the interaction of retrospective legislation with (a) the Human Rights Act and (b) European Convention on Human Rights.
