To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many people were convicted of theft from a shop in 2024, broken down by the number of people who received an immediate custodial sentence of (a) less than one month, (b) one month to less than three months, (c) three months to less than six months, (d) six months to less than twelve months, (e) one year to less than two years and (f) two years or more.

The Ministry of Justice publishes statistics on convictions, sentencing outcomes and custodial sentence lengths for a wide range of offences in the Outcome by Offences Tool, including theft from shops.
