To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, whether local planning authorities may set parking standards above national expectations where proposed development would otherwise increase on-street parking or congestion; and what assessment the Department has made of the effect of the new requirement for flexibility in applying parking standards on residential areas in Walsall Borough.
