(8 June 2026)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether her Department has made an estimate of the costs of not having mutual recognition agreements in place with the EU around a) the certification of aircraft parts and maintenance approvals and b) maintenance engineer licences.

Asked by:
Luke Taylor (Liberal Democrat)

The UK remains committed to establishing closer cooperation with the EU on aviation safety, where possible.
