Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, when he expects regular passenger services to start operating via the Todmorden Curve.

Answer

Network Rail is due to complete the signalling on the new section of track in the next few weeks. As this is a local project sponsored and specified by Lancashire County Council and Burnley Borough Council, it is for them to reach formal agreement with Northern Rail on what date in 2015 these train services will commence.
