The information requested isn’t held centrally. Some relevant information, drawn from the Mental Health Service Data Set, is published by NHS England in the Autism Waiting Times Statistics. However, this data only represents a partial picture of the numbers of people who are referred for suspected autism and are recorded with an autism diagnosis following an assessment. NHS England continues to work with providers and partner organisations to improve the data quality.
