Lake District National Park and Yorkshire Dales National Park (13 January 2015)

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, when her Department plans to announce whether Natural England's Variation Orders of 2012 extending the boundaries of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales national parks will be confirmed.

A public inquiry into Natural England’s proposals to extend the boundaries of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales national parks was held in June 2013. The inspector’s report has been submitted to Defra and is now being considered. The Secretary of State will issue her decisions in due course.
