PARLIAMENTARY WRITTEN QUESTION
Police Deaths on Duty (11 December 2023)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what steps he takes to mark the contribution of police officers killed in the line of duty.

Asked by:
Navendu Mishra (Labour)

Answer

It is right that we recognise the contribution and sacrifice of any police officer who dies in the course of their police duties.

The Home Office works with policing to remember all of these officers, by supporting national memorials and events, such as the UK Police Memorial at the National Arboretum and the annual National Police Memorial Day.

The Government is proud to support these permanent and dignified tributes to the memory of our fallen officers.
