To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, when he expects to publish the InterCity East Coast Franchise Agreement.

Answer
The franchise agreement and related documents will be made publicly available on the Department for Transport’s section on the GOV.UK website shortly after the start of the new franchise in March 2015. This will follow the completion of a process of redaction in accordance with the principles of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
