Business: Human Rights (26 November 2014)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what involvement his Department has had in plans to review the Government's Business and Human Rights Action Plan.

Asked by:
Lisa Nandy (Labour)

Answer

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office and Business, Innovation and Skills Department jointly lead on the implementation of the UK National Action Plan in collaboration with a Steering Group made up of key Government Departments.

My department is a member of that Steering Group and continues to be involved in the work to implement the UK’s commitments.

The Government will review the plan in 2015 and report on progress in the Annual FCO Human Rights Report. My department will contribute to that work.
