To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, what recent assessment he has made of the effectiveness of the Energy Performance Certificate in improving the energy efficiency of older housing stock.

The Government recognises that there are concerns surrounding the effectiveness of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and intends to consult on reforms this year.
