To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, with reference to the announcement in the Spring Budget 2022 Policy Paper, published on 17 November 2022, in which financial year the £79 million funding for HMRC to allocate additional staff to tackle cases of serious tax fraud and address tax compliance risks among wealthy taxpayers commenced.

The £79 million of funding allocated to HMRC at Autumn Statement 2022 to tackle more cases of serious tax fraud and address tax compliance risks among wealthy taxpayers is set to commence in the 2023/2024 financial year.
