Navendu Mishra (Labour)

Answer

The latest published Immigration Statistics detail the number of supported asylum seekers accommodated in each local authority area. These statistics can be found at Asylum and resettlement datasets Asylum and resettlement datasets - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)(opens in a new tab)(opens in a new tab), under the document Asylum seekers in receipt of support (second edition)(opens in a new tab)(opens in a new tab). Data are published on a quarterly basis, with the latest information published 24 November 2022. The next quarterly figures are due to be released in late February 2023.

There are no hotels for unaccompanied asylum seeking children (UASC) in Stockport.

The Home Office does not hold data for the number of adult and children asylum seekers that were accommodated via the Home Office that are missing in a reportable format and it would require a manual search of records which would incur a disproportionate cost.
