Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether he has had discussions with the Chancellor of the Exchequer on the potential merits of increasing public sector pay in line with the increase in inflation.

Answer

The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care has regular discussions with Cabinet colleagues on a range of issues relating to health and social care. We have accepted the recommendations of the independent NHS Pay Review Bodies in full, which saw the lowest earners receive an increase of 9.3%.
