PARLIAMENTARY WRITTEN QUESTION
Motorcycles: Crime Prevention (1 November 2022)
Question Asked
Asked by:
Navendu Mishra (Labour)
Answer
The Government recognises that misuse of off-road bikes can cause nuisance and distress to communities.
However, the police already have powers to tackle off-road bike crime. How road traffic law is enforced is an operational matter for the local chief officer, in conjunction with the Police and Crime Commissioner, based on local pressures and local priorities.
