Asked by:
Feryal Clark (Labour)

Answer

We have committed to delivering an additional 50 million general practice appointments a year by 2024 to improve access for patients. NHS England’s Access Improvement Programme is also supporting general practitioner practices experiencing the greatest challenges in improving patient access.

The Department and NHS England have recently announced improvements to the National Health Service dental system to improve access for patients, target patients with higher oral health needs and ensure that NHS dentistry is a more attractive place to work for dentists and their teams.
