The NHS Health Check aims to prevent heart disease, stroke, diabetes and some cases of dementia and kidney disease among adults aged 40 to 74 years old who do not have cardiovascular disease. The Health Check raises awareness through earlier assessment and management of seven risk factors, including blood pressure.
