PARLIAMENTARY WRITTEN QUESTION
Fertility: General Practitioners (24 June 2022)
Question Asked
Asked by:
Feryal Clark (Labour)
Answer
General practitioners are responsible for updating their clinical knowledge and identifying learning needs through continuing professional development. This should take into account new research and developments in guidance, such as the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence’s guidelines, to ensure high quality care is provided to all patients. The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority also plan to engage with the Royal College of General Practitioners to promote increased awareness of fertility issues.
