Health Professions: Regulation (20 June 2022)

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, when his Department plans to respond to the consultation entitled Regulating healthcare professionals, protecting the public; and whether that response will include detail on next steps for reform of regulators other than the General Medical Council.

Officials have been analysing the responses to the consultation and working with stakeholders on reforming the legal framework for the regulation of healthcare professionals in the United Kingdom. We will publish the response to the consultation in due course, which will set out further details, including the timing and sequencing of these reforms.
