Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, with reference to the oral contribution of the The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy on 22 February 2022, Official Report column 456, what recent assessment he has made of whether 95 percent of claims to the Historic Shortfall Scheme will be processed by the end of this year.

Answer

As of 8th April, Post Office have issued offers to 51% of eligible applicants, therefore BEIS is content that on current progress, the Historical Shortfall Scheme target will be met.
