Manchester India Partnership: Finance (19 April 2022)

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what support his Department has provided to the Manchester India Partnership.

I am not aware of any direct HM Treasury support to the Manchester India Partnership, though I welcome regional investment partnerships like this, which support the government's levelling up agenda. The Government supports deepening trade and investment links between the UK and India and welcomes the close people-to-people ties between our two countries. We will continue to take steps to support this, including through Economic and Financial Dialogues.
