To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment his Department has made of the potential impact on recruitment in the care sector of ending the infection control fund.

Answer
No specific assessment has been made. However, in order to support the sector to address workforce pressures, we have expanded the Health and Care Visa to enable overseas recruitment of care workers. We have also delivered a national recruitment campaign between November 2021 and March 2022 and we are working with the Department for Work and Pensions to promote adult social care careers to jobseekers.
