Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, for what reason there are no NICE guidelines for the care and treatment of people with Complex-PTSD; and whether he plans to review the need for such guidelines.

Answer

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) issued a guideline in December 2018 on the care and treatment of people with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The guideline includes recommendations for recognising, assessing and treating PTSD which extends to those suffering from complex PTSD. The guideline is available at the following link:
