To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, if he will make soil quality a public good for the purposes of public subsidy; and if he will make a statement.

Answer

Soil is one of our greatest assets. The numerous environmental benefits and services that can be derived from activities that enhance soil health will be eligible for public money.
