To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what steps his Department is taking to the political impartiality of civil servants in his Department.

Answer
The civil servants in my department are bound by the standards of behaviour, including that of political impartiality, as set out in the 'Civil Service code', available at: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/civil-service-code. These are clearly communicated to all civil servants in the department on a regular basis.
